This unwelcome news comes from Janet A. Edwards, the USAFA Mortuary Officer via Dick Sexton:

"Good morning, Everyone.

"A direct burial for Capt James N. Holly, USAF, Class of 1960, will be held on 5 Sep 24, 0900 hours, at the USAFA Cemetery. No services will be held, nor will family be in attendance. Capt Holly's obituary can be found [HERE]."

Condolences may also be left at the above. The family requests that donations to the Altzheimer's Foundation be considered in lieu of flowers.

A "direct burial" means that there will be no service, and no family will be present. Classmates may attend, but they should check with the Mortuary Affairs office for any changes in the schedule. Dick Sexton has indicated that he plans to attend.
