Christmas Greetings! December 2012

Sid and Marvann Newcomb

This year has been a joyful year of a lot of family activities. We now have one grandson who is married--Noé married Rose in January; we attended Shepherd's graduation from high school in California, and he will be going to college in January 2013; Ty and Payton came for their annual visit for two weeks; Shep visited us here for two weeks at Thanksgiving; and my sister Omalu and I visited our uncle arid cousin in Lubbock. We have been blessed to spend time with our "extended" family, also. Our son-in-law Adam's mother Judy invited us to her cabin on the lake in northern Minnesota, and we staved with them for a great, fun week. The year will end with Christmas programs at school where Madelyn and Sam will participate, as well as Asher in his school. Sidni will perform for the second year in the annual Nutcracker production with Ballet Austin.

Sid went on mission to Guatemala again. this time for two weeks with two separate groups from our church and then to Honduras for a week with Footsteps Missions. He continues to be a large part of the taco business. volunteers as AF Academy liaison, and is involved in several other endeavors. I spend as much tine as possible with out amazing grandchildren, work in my flower beds, participate in church activities, and try to keep up with Sid.

As I write, keeping up with Sid is a bit easier right now as he had prostate cancer surgery on December 5th. He is recovering amazingly well and picking up speed daily!! We praise the Lord for His healing mercies.

Our earthly joy continues to our loving, caring family. Our eternal joy rests in the Savior whose coming we celebrate.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
