Christmas greetings from Colorful Colorado
Jim and Mary Waddle
Yesterday we had snow with blizzard conditions; today the sun is shining with the temperature in the high 40s and climbing. We're being promised a White Christmas. We have experienced six major events this year:
The first was a terrific trip to Florida to see grandson Fred play two Lacrosse games in Tampa. We stayed with Fred and De Olson in their beautiful home. We were able to spend time with all members of the Olson family. We also had a great day visit with Jim's classmate Rosie Cler and wife Karen.
Next was a wonderful two-week trip to Ireland and Scotland. The trip core group was friends from our church. We made more friends from other states and countries. Three new friends from Australia added a lot to the trip. We returned to Colorado Springs on June 23, the day the Waldo Canyon wildfire started. The fire made national news spreading to a residential area in NW Colorado Springs destroying 394 homes. We evacuated our home for two days to Rick and Emily's.
The following Saturday, our first grandson, Ricky married Angie Deemer at First United Methodist Church. Then to West Texas for grand niece Kresha's wedding. On July 20, granddaughter Melanie married Kyle Boyd at Spruce Mountain Ranch. Great granddaughter Chloe was flower girl. The weddings were exciting and beautiful.
Christmas choir concert is complete. The Waddle family will celebrate Christmas with dinner and gifts at Larry and Lori's home
