14 December
On Wednesday, December 14th, the Northwest Falcons held a drag luncheon at Bahama Breeze Restaurant near Southcenter Mall in Seattle. In the first photo, the attendees are: (L-R) George Luck (partially hidden), Nels Delisanti, Chuck Diver, Dennis and Linda O'Keefe, Edie Diver and Vic Yoakum. In the second photo, the attendees are: (L-R) Bev O'Rourke (partially hidden), Carolyn Luck and George Luck and Nels Delisanti. Jim O'Rourke was present but not photographed.
The next gathering of the NW Falcons will be stag at the Naval Undersea Museum, 1 Garnett Way, Keyport, WA 98345. The museum is closed on Tuesdays and the hours are: 10-4. I suggest that we meet there at 10:00 on Wednesday, January 4th and tour from 10:00 until 12:30, and then drive around the inlet to Tizley's EuroPub for a 1:00 PM luncheon. Tizley's is at 18928 Front St NE, Poulsbo, WA.
9 September 2011
On Fri Sep 9, George Luck, Dennis O'Keefe, Vic Yoakum and Nels Delisanti made a flight from Everett and Tacoma Narrows, WA to McMinnville, OR to the Evergreen Aviation Museum in George's Beech Bonanza.
Evergreen Aviation Museum. The Air Museum is the building to the left, and it houses the Hughes Hercules Flying Boat and airplanes of the first 50 years of aviation. The building is the center is an I-Max theater, and the building on the right is the Air and Space Museum, and it houses the space exhibits and the airplanes of the second 50 years of aviation.
In the lower left is a massive water park with a B747 on the roof. There are fourwater slides for a thrilling 'evacuation' down into the pool. None of us brought suits.
6 September 2011
We had a day of sailing on Nels Delisanti's sailboat out of Tacoma on Commencement Bay. We had a lunch stop at Anthony's Homeport Restaurant at Pt. Deviance on the south end of Vashon Is. Those attending were Nels Delisanti, George and Carolyn Luck, Jim and Bev O'Rourke, Vic and Suzanne Yoakum, and Dennis and Linda O'Keefe. George and Carolyn are leaving for a month at their condo in Palm Desert, then a flight instruction job in Fresno and on to the Army game at USAFA.
Jim is leaving for a B373 simulator instructor job in Nairobi, Kenya and Bev, who recently lost her mother, has a cruise in Hawaii.
Vic and Suzanne will be departing soon for a cruise in the Greek Isles, and later for a winter in Palm Desert.
Dennis and Linda also will be away for a special course and tour in Jerusalem, Israel.
And sooooo the flock is scattering, but not before a flight in George's airplane to the Evergreen Museum in McMinnville, OR. This visit will make up for the cancelled for weather attempt last month.
This picture was taken at the Northwest '60 Falcons luncheon during our sailing outing with Delisanti on Sep 6th.
25 August 2011
Attached is a picture taken at our place, on 25Aug11, at the annual get together up in the Skagit Valley.
The picture is of Roger Lent doing magical chemistry tricks-with the help his beautiful, vivacious and able bodied assistant 'Tina'.
Attending in addition to Roger, were George and Carolyn Luck, Dennis and Linda O'Keefe, Bill Zersen and Nels Delisanti.
Here is photographic evidence of the annual gathering of the '60 Northwest Falcons. We has a great social, dinner and magical entertainment at Chuck and Edie's home overlooking the beautiful Skagit River Valley. At the end if the evening, Roger entertained us with magical tricks and proofs of the laws of physics--most entertaining!
