NorthWest Falcons '60 2012
September 2012
On Wednesday, September 19 at 1:00 PM, seven members of the Class of '60 Northwest Falcons held a luncheon gathering at Chandlers Crabhouse on the south shore of Lake Union in Seattle, WA. Of the many war stories told, one of the funniest was told by Jim O' about Johnnie Townsend navigating a WB-50 in the Pacific in support of nuclear weapons testing. Maybe you can get Johnnie or Jim O' to tell the story.
The next luncheon and tour gathering will be at the Museum of Flight at Boeing Field, 9404 East Marginal Way, Seattle, WA 98108-4097 on October 25th at 11:30 AM. Take exit 158 off of I-5.
August 2012
On Wednesday afternoon, August 8, the Northwest Falcons held their annual gathering at the home of Chuck and Edie Diver--overlooking the beatiful Skagit River Valley. It was great to have Roger Lent (Roger the Magnificant) cross over the pass, join us again and entertain us with his tricks of magic. Joining us from CO were Jim and Jeannette Glaza; and Paul and Kay Vallerie drove over from Boise. Those attending were: Jim and Jeannette Glaza, Roger Lent, Paul and Kay Vallerie, George and Carolyn Luck, Vic and Suzanne Yoakum, Chuck and Edie Diver (Hosts), Dennis and Linda O'Keefe and Bill Zersen.

On March 6, Dennis, George, Chuck and Nels had a luncheon at Hector's in Kirkland, WA (north of Seattle, see 1st photo).
On April 19th, we held a Founders' Day luncheon at Bahama Breeze in Tukwila, WA (south of Seattle). Attending were Jim, Vic, Nels,Dennis, Chuck and George (see 2nd photo).
On April 21 on a rare pretty day in the spring, George gave Nels a flying refresher lesson from Tacoma to Hoquim, WA for a lunch at Lana's, the airport cafe and then back to Tacoma. Nels got several landings and a GPS precision approach. Life is good when you are flying a Beechcraft on a pretty day. (See photos). Next comes a sailing lesson for George in Nels' sailboat.
