We now have the definitive release of all the pertinent information you need for the 1st Four Reunion weekend of November 3-6 in Denver. Hopefully you have made the requisite hotel reservations and purchased your game tickets. Reminder: You must make your hotel reservations at the Hilton Garden Inn Union Station NLT October 22nd to capture our heavily discounted room rate of $149.00 and daily valet parking for $10.00. The AOG has released most of the additional info you should need for your planning. Go to usafa.org/events, then drill down and click Nov 3-4 AF vs Army Football game [the above link takes you directly there]. They are planning a social for Friday night and a Saturday tailgate. Click the “Register Now” button near the top and choose which events you’d like to purchase. Rumor (not confirmed) [it works] has it that there is a discount if you use the code 1ST4^*. Game tickets are purchased separately and if you haven’t done so, call Hailee in the AFAA ticket office at 719-472-1895 ext.206 and ask for tickets with the First Four. (see below) The only real addition to their instructions is to point out that all of us local season ticket holders have tickets and a free parking pass for mile high and should be able to take several folks from the hotel to the game. In that regard, Jenny and I will be hosting a hospitality suite at the hotel on Friday night (and Saturday) where you may be able to hook up with transportation for Saturday’s tailgate at the stadium. If all else fails (it’s a long walk to the stadium), the Union Station commuter rail is a short 10-15 minute walk from the hotel, one stop from Mile High.

The hospitality suite will open at 5 PM on Friday, with an open bar and hors d’oeuvres, and again on Saturday at 7 PM with open bar and heavy hors d’oeuvres. The Hilton’s collocated restaurant, woodiefisher.com, is a top notch restaurant/bar that you can check out online. The plan is to reconvene our victory celebration after the game at Woodie Fisher’s bar (Happy Hour 4-6), from whence all may remain or move to another restaurant nearby for dinner.

Many of us are planning to partake of Woodie Fisher’s Sunday Brunch (10 AM-3PM) before departing. Reservations can be made at 720-643-1909.

We have confirmation that the AOG and AFAA are committed to organizing Friday night and Saturday pre-game festivities, although format and costs have yet to be determined (as is the kickoff time). Nonetheless, we have locked down ticket and lodging commitments which are now available for you to make your reservations.

As previously reported, AFA season and club level ticket holders will be seated directly behind the AF bench, sections 104-106. We have blocked an additional 100 tickets for our First Four mini-reunion in Club Level Section 311, just above the season ticket sections. Forty rooms have been blocked through the AOG at the Hilton Garden Inn Denver Union Station. This location is about 4 blocks (a 10-15 minute walk) to Union Station, where public transportation directly to Mile High Stadium is available. Room rates have been discounted to $149/night plus tax for us. In addition, valet parking will be available at the hotel for our group at a discounted $10/day (normally $49). This recently constructed high-rise hotel is connected to and surrounds the iconic fine dining restaurant Woodie Fisher (ranked #82 on Yelp’s 2022 Top 100 restaurants in the US) where we plan to hold our Saturday night post-game get together. Once the game’s kickoff time has been determined (expect midday) we will e-mail each of you for your dinner reservation request if desired. We will also keep you apprised of plans for Friday night and the tailgate as they are released to us.
