Jack's History
Jack came to the Academy from Shreveport, LA. His pilot training class was 66B
at Laughlin AFB, Del Rio, TX where he earned one of the few coveted slots in the
F-100 Super Sabre.
After checkout, gunnery, and the mandatory survival schools, assignments included the 90th TFS at Bien Hoa AB;
O-1 birddog Forward Air Controller with the 101st Airborne at various bases in 1 and 2 corps;
77th TFS at Wethersfield RAF station during the cold war;
Delta Air Lines from 1970 to 2000;
F-100s at LA ANG during 1971-72;
F-100, F-105G, F-4D, and F-15A at GA ANG Dobbins ARB 1973-1990.
Decorations include the DFC, several Air Medals, and five Air Force Outstanding Unit awards.
Bride Kathy is a Ist grade school teacher found in Phoenix, AZ in 1966. They live in Cobb County, GA, have two sons, a wonderful daughter-in-law and one truly lovely 16 month old granddaughter. Jack now flies an F33A Bonanza.
