My Career Summary


thad.jpg Thad Wolfe is an independent contractor and Air Force Account Coordinator for QinetiQ-North America. He owns Polaris Results, LLC, a solutions provider. Thad was Air Force Practice Leader for Thomas Group Inc. a process improvement firm. For Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), Mr. Wolfe was Senior Vice President and Corporate Account Manager for North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM); General Manager, Enterprise Security Solutions Business Unit, and Director of the AEROSPACENTER from 1999 to 2008. He was CEO of Western Research Institute, an organization with expertise in energy, remediation, and asphalts; and CEO of International Youth Institute, Inc. a training company serving adjudicated youth. He was Executive Vice President of Browning Resources US, a natural resources company after retiring from the United States Air Force.

He completed military service as a Lt. General and Vice Commander of Air Combat Command having served in line and staff positions including flying, nuclear operations, targeting and command and control; standardization/evaluation, intelligence, and development engineering. His assignments included Defense Intelligence Agency, National Security Agency, Air Staff, and the Joint Strategic Target Planning Staff. Mr. Wolfe is involved with outside boards, completing service on the Board of Directors of The Retired Officers Association and as Chairman of the Air Force Association’s Veterans and Retirees Council. He was Director and Vice Chairman of the Board at Western Research Institute and served on the Board of Advisors of the Ruckelshaus Institute for Environment and Natural Resources. He is currently a Director with World Energy Solutions and with NanoVapor. He is on the Board of Advisors for Watermark Risk Management LLC and was recently selected to the Falcon Foundation Board of Trustees. Thad was a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer in Virginia. He and Jill have three adult children and six grandchildren, are active in their church, and are exercise, sports, antiques and travel enthusiasts.

Mr. Wolfe holds a Bachelor of Science from the United States Air Force Academy and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wyoming. He is a graduate of the National War College, the Joint Flag and General Officer Capstone Course and the Harvard Program for Leaders of National and International Security.
