1645 MDT
If any boyfriends/girlfriends of appointees happen to be reading this area, I have been reminded there is a website specifically designed for you.  However, I have not visited the site in detail, so as with any website recommendation, please use caution when visiting an outside site.  The link is: www.freewebs.com/supportyourcadet.

On this site, its welcome message states:
"
This is a website designed especially for girlfriends and boyfriends of people in military academies, or going through basic training etc... I noticed there are TONS of parent support groups and none for us, but hey, this isn't easy for us either, so I decided we needed a support site of our own."

1500 MDT
I've been hearing about plane delays due to weather.

1230 MDT
I met one of the Appointees -- Lucas Connolly.  He said he was up at 0430 to catch his 0600 flight from Boise, ID.  I asked him how he felt.  He said he was a little nervous, but very excited.  He's looking forward to the challenges he'll face at the Academy.  I asked how the plane trip was.  He said it went well, and he met some other appointees.  Finally, I asked if he had any words to send home. He said, "Made it safe.  Ready to Rock and Roll".

1100 MDT
Just saw first group of appointees to arrive to meet up with their Bed and Breakfast hosts.

Here they are in Doolittle Hall.

1000 MDT
I'm waiting for some of the Appointees who registered for the Bed and Breakfast Program to show up.  When I see one or two, I'll check and see how their flights were and how they are feeling.  I'll post something when I see one.
