MOAA Appointee "Send-Off" Dinner 6 June 2019

The Southern Nevada Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America is having an APPOINTEE “SEND-OFF” DINNER. This is a Joint chapter “Send-Off” dinner with the Academy Appointees and Service Academy Parents Club scheduled for 6 June at the Palace Station Hotel. Social hour is 6 PM, with dinner at 7. Come and meet the appointees and their parents. Dinner choices: Salmon, Chicken, or London Broil and the cost is $35. Appointees are free. We would like our members to be Table Hosts for the candidates, so they can meet and interface with a veteran. Please call in your reservation and dinner choice to Tommy Thompson (702-914-1844). Pay by check at the door by check at the door.

6 June is the 75th Anniversary of D-Day, Operation Overlord. There will be displays of the D-Day landings, a slide show of D-Day during the Social Hour - and a short memorial at the start of the Program.

The speaker is Major Ellie Morgan, USAFA Class of 2006.

This is the 16th year, and the dinner with the Appointees and parents is a great community relations project. Here's a great chance to get to meet the future members of the Long Blue Line. We'll be sitting with the future cadets and their parents.

If you've never attended a SEND-OFF give it a try - you'll enjoy the event. Be sure to call for a reservation. Pay by check at the door.

Regards,
Dave Gibbs
Chapter President
