Good morning!  Sorry about not posting DVD information yesterday.  We're still trying to gather the photos from the various hard drives and servers we used.  I was shocked at the number of photos WebGuy and WebGal took over BCT.  The good news is: we're definitely a "go".  I'll continue consolidating the photos with WebGal the rest of today.  The "Member Gallery" Photographer is doing the same.  Once we get them in one place, we'll ship them off to the production company for publication.

My one "foot-stomper" to them is that I want to have them ready for pickup by parents on 1 September at Arnold Hall.  That way, if you want to look them over with your cadet over parents weekend, you will be able.

The Athletic Department released a notice that the Air Force -  Notre Dame Game for Nov 11th had sold out!  This does not happen very often around here.  The only time you see sell-outs here is when we play Notre Dame, Oklahoma, etc.  Boy, those Game Days are crazy.

Speaking of the crazy Oklahoma Game.
"There I was, in 2001.  The Falcons were preparing for the Season Opener against Oklahoma.  The Sooners were the defending National Champions and had not lost a game in more than a year.  All of the pundits were giving the Falcons a .001% chance of winning.  --- And they were right.  We lost 44 - 3.

But what struck me was the Oklahoma fan base!  Wow!  They started rolling in with their RVs a week before the game.  They had also bought so many tickets that to this day, I'll tell you they seemed to have way more fans in the stands than Air Force.  It was a sight to behold.

It took be back down memory lane -- to where I  would watch the Philadelphia Eagles in Veteran's Stadium, amongst the loyal fan base.

Of course, this is not a perfect one-to-one comparison.
The big difference between watching the Eagles and watching the Sooners is that the Sooners could actually win a championship!

Slam!  Fellow Eagles fans - see how I got you interested in the story above, then slipped in the sarcasm about our Philly teams?  Oh, I do it out of love.  Philly fans are tough!  We can take it!

East Coast Folks
By the way.  Although I was on vacation in Florida, I made a point to stop and get "Wooder Ice".
Translation (Water Ice)  Also, since I was at the reunion with my sister's, I whined to them about how you can't get good fudge or fresh Tastykakes out here.  I must have did it the right number of times because my sister is sending out fudge from the Fudge Kitchen in Stone Harbor, and is also sending a huge box of Tastykakes.  Sweeeeeet!  Now, if only WaWa would open stores out in Colorado so I could get a turkey hoagie.  If any one you have any connections to WaWa HQ, please put some pressure on.

Well we are still here trying to work out the creases for the DVD. Finally we got all the thousands of pictures in one place ready for the transformation. We will keep you informed as we make progress. As WebGuy had said we are hoping for them to be ready for pick up on Parents Weekend.  speaking of which only 2 weeks and 2 days, are we all getting excited yet?
