Well, that about does it. Parents and friends are
preparing to converge on Colorado Springs for Parents
Weekend. Cadets will see their families. I think
its about time for WebGal and I to call it quits.
It has been a wonderful time
for us, meeting you through emails and calls. I hope
you got a lot of good information from us, while having fun
at the same time.

(1) Here is our parting gift to the high-speed internet
folks.
WebGal and I have loaded the video clips you saw during BCT
up on a server for you to download onto your computer.
All you need to do is go to this
page.
http://www.usafaclasses.org/2010/WebGuyNotes/WebGuyVideoClips.htm
If you want to download the clip,
put your cursor over the link and press your right mouse
button. When the window opens up, click on "Save
Target as". Then, simply save the file to where you
want it on your hard drive.
For you dial-up people, don't do this or else you will be
downloading until your cadet graduates.

(2) Here is the WebGuy gift to the folks who pre-ordered the
Photo DVD and are dial-up people.
(I have a soft spot in my heart for those suffering with
dial-up like I do)
Hold on. Still
typing...
Last week I went out
and bought hundreds of blank DVDs.
(Note to AOG Vice President - I did not use any AOG
money for this. Just mine.)
Sorry
for the diversion...had to keep my job.
Wait, another note:
(Note to Mrs. WebGuy - Uh, honey. About using our
money. Don't worry.
I think the 19th anniversary is the 7-11 Big Gulp
anniversary. So I got you covered.)
Sorry for the 2nd
diversion...had to keep my marriage.
Since then,
I have been going home each night and burning the video
clips that you saw in BCT onto the DVDs --- one DVD at a
time. But also, I added some clips that were not seen
during BCT.
(Woo Ha Ha! - Bonus Clips)
The bonus clips are nothing cosmic. Just some extra
shots around the place.
I'm finished 200
already, and I'll keep burning them tonight, tomorrow night,
and Thursday night, as long as the NoDoz holds out.
Since there have been a little under 300 of the Photo DVDs
ordered, I'll produce 350 of the homemade video clips DVD
and stop.
(Quality? Hey, it's a freebie done on my home computer.
As long as it doesn't self-destruct like Mission Impossible,
I'll consider it a success)
When you pick-up your pre-ordered Photo DVD, just shout-out
"Yo WebGuy, show me da clips"!
If you do that with a good enough Rocky Balboa accent, I'll
hand you a Video Clip DVD.
If your accent isn't good, I'll still give you the Video
Clip DVD, but I'll also taunt you.
P.S.
Also, I'll talk to
WebGal about those folks who ordered their Photo DVD to be
shipped. I'll give her copies to put into the
shipment, so those folks will be covered.
Whew!
Again, it's been a wonderful experience working with all of
you. I wish you and your cadet the best here at the
Academy. To put it simply -- the Academy is the place
to be!
WebGal, any final words????
WebGal Here
Of course I have final words.
I had a lot of fun taking photos and especially when the
basics posed for me. Meeting parents during the parades was
very important to me, knowing what I was doing was
worthwhile to you all. As a parent myself I have had a
little taste of what is to come. I hope to see some of
you on Friday during Parents Weekend.
